International Students Go Apple Picking

International+Students+Go+Apple+Picking

On Friday September 29, 2023, King’s Way International Students went to the Mountain View Apple Orchards. It took 2 hours to get there in King’s Way van. This plan was made by Mrs. Sheryl.

Mrs. Sheryl, International Student Coordinator, “wanted international students to experience seeing the view of the Northwest.” She chose Mt. View Orchards  because there is a beautiful view and a restaurant. Annually, the International Students go there and pick up many apples. But, last year, they didn’t go because the schedule was very full so they didn’t go anywhere at this time. They went to Nike, hiked, and went to the beach last year. The International Students had to go during apple season in late September to early October. Mrs. Sheryl is always planning events for one year for International Students during the summer before school starts. She was glad to make this plan. She said this plan was very successful and they looked so fun.

One King’s Way International Student is Amy Nguyen. She is from Vietnam. She was looking forward to visiting Mt. Apple Orchards. She picked over ten apples. Picking up many apples with her friends is one of the most memorable moments in her life. She thinks if she has a chance she always wants to repeat the experience.
